Neatly Real is an American Pop/Rock / Indie Rock band formed in Austin, Texas by Gary Vandelay. The band consists of Gary Vandelay (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Jason Toll (drums, vocals) Nick Kruger (bass guitar, vocals), and Dik Ellis (guitar, vocals)
Gary Vandelay - Vocal/Piano/Guitar
Gary Vandelay played in various bands in the Houston, Texas area. Upon moving to Athens, Texas, Vandelay started the band, GWA in 2001, which turned out to be a recording project with Vandelay playing all the instruments.
Vandelay's first effort was a home-studio recorded four-song EP, Hard Rock Candy Sandwich under the band name, GWA, independently-released in February 2003.
Vandelay completed an EP with different musicians in early 2007, entitled Chapped Laps, recorded by Robin Hood Brians (ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan) with Grammy Award-winning producer Ken Lewis (Fall Out Boy, Soul Asylum, Beastie Boys, Lenny Kravitz) creating the final mix. Chapped Laps features artwork from Josh Clancy (Panic at the Disco, Hawthorne Heights).
Nick Kruger - Bass/Vocal
Nick Kruger transplanted to Austin from Michigan where he played bass in several funk and metal cover bands.
Jason Toll - Drums/Vocal
Jason Toll also plays drums in the band, Beautiful Mistakes in Austin and has previously played and/or recorded with Reckless Kelly, After 909, Lucky Tubb and the Modern Day Troubadours, and The Biscuits. Toll hails from Salem, Oregon.
Dik Ellis - Guitar/Vocal
Dik Ellis has played in several bands in Austin for years. He is an accomplished songwriter.
